Ronald van den Berg of Zentoo explains: "The chrysanthemum is traditionally a commemorative flower, thanks in part to its long shelf life. That's why you see them used a lot during All Saints' Day. Nowadays, more and more colourful chrysanthemums are chosen, in addition to the classic white variety." All Saints' Day is a Christian festival commemorating all saints and martyrs. Chrysanthemums also commemorate deceased loved ones.
