In autumn we celebrate Halloween and All Saints Day. Halloween is celebrated on the 31st of October and All Saints Day is celebrated on the 1st of November. Two autumn holidays that have grown in popularity over the last few years. While All Saints Day is known for its grand floral and plant designs, Halloween however is known for spooky costumes, pumkins and candy. Flowers however, can set the mood for any holiday, and Halloween is no exception.

Spooky Halloween arrangements

Halloween is a holiday that’s celebrated more and more in Europe these days. Homes are decorated with scary decorations, and flowers can really help set the mood for this Holiday. Maybe you’re not so familiar with Halloween, and you’re not sure how to arrange flowers for this particular holiday. You can easily add scary things to an arrangements. Decorative spiders or a flying witch for instance, or maybe add a bit of ‘spider web’ to finish your bouquet.

Holy All Saints Day

On November 1st we celebrate All Saints Day, a holiday that is especially popular in Catholic countries. On this day people from all over the world visit the graves of their diseased relatives. They honour the lives of their lost loved ones by placing flowers, plants and candles on their graves. A beautiful tradition which honours the dead. Chrysanthemums and Lilies are known as popular flowers for All Saints Day. Not only because they look beautiful, they have a longer vase life than most flowers.
